When using our legal tools for contract review, it is important to understand the difference between a review with and without a playbook, as this affects the structure and comparability of the results.
Contract review is possible either with or without a playbook, both via the "Legartis for Word" add-in and in the Legartis Web App.
1. Contract Review without Playbook
If a review is conducted without a playbook, there is no structured review against defined requirements.
Limitation: Results from reviews without a playbook are not methodologically comparable to playbook-based reviews.
Recommendation: These results should not be used to assess the quality of the findings.
2. Contract Review with Playbook
When using a playbook (e.g., via the Review Agent or Legal Agent), a structured review is performed against the defined requirements stored in the playbook.
3. Special Feature: Legal Agent
The Legal Agent works as a dialogue-based analysis tool.
Selection: You can optionally select a playbook for the Legal Agent to specifically tailor the review to your requirements.
Methodology: By default, the Legal Agent does not follow a fixed, structured procedure. If you desire one, request it via a corresponding prompt.
